Dinghy storage

So I strap my dinghy to my boat before I shrink wrap. Hypalon….. should I let so
E air out or does it matter?? Northeast climate

We let some air out when storing it in the Summer here for obvious reasons. I don’t see any reason to do that in the Winter up north. From an academic perspective, pumping it up in the cold might serve to preclude any chafe from wind assuming the cover is ventilated.

I let some air out of mine, mainly because i don't uncover the boat until late spring, and I'm sure it gets warm under the shrink wrap.

I hung my dinghy with straps beneath from the rafters in my unheated garage in 2015, fully inflated. It sags a bit in the winter but by spring when the weather warms up, the air in it expands and its back to normal. Due to extenuating circumstances it been in that location for six years…
