This is some wooden davits I made. They work great while cruising. We don't have to tend to the dinghy in waves and while anchored, the dinghy doesn't bump the hull.
Anchored in the North Channel. Son is reading in the chair and Sam cat is standing watch. That is the wooden framed bimini and dodger, that I made, with a closer piece between them. The wife and I were out paddling the dinghy around.

We spent 4 hours flying our spiniker heading east in the North Channel. Great day!
