Starboard side of the rudder. The rudder was painted by the original owner, sat in the Lower Niagara River for the first 4 summers (1980-1983) and then only periodically day sailing from 1985 through 1995 when it was replaced with a kick-up rudder. Since 1995 it has been dry in indoor storage. Note the missing pintles in the straps following contact with terrafirma due to navigation error.
Port side of rudder- scoring from the prop when the pintles were torn from the gudgeons. The swing keel was raised so the rudder was my deepest projection.
