Maybe seeing metal, rather than the plastic through hulls is more comforting than plastic...although, I've seen some plastic through hulls at West Marine that I was told were Lloyd's of London approved.
GREAT SOLUTION!! Now,here is how you buy for LESS THAN WHOLESALE for your boat (or home fabric). Just visit this nice company and look for anything from thousands of bolts they have right on hand. First, go for a remnant (the smaller, left over rolls in stock), this is how I got a very high quality Sunbrella fabric for just $15/yd.! I'm doing my whole v berth and salon for $300 for the fabric (20 yds approx) plus, add about $800 for high density (a MUST) foam and labor, and for about $1,100 total, Seasters will look, but more importantly SMELL a whole lot better!
