Port Toe Rail 1 I used a burr in a hand drll to open it up like this, trying not to remove very much but only the bad. I cut new wood and re glassed it back in place.
Star Toe Rail 4 Here I had to dig the old caulk or what ever someone put in there out. This was a PITA to do too. Hours of labor digging it out. This was not a good fix either. So I wouldn't recomend this. Take the time and do it right so you won't have to do what I had to do. When you see your fiberglass cracks get on them before they take on water. Winter time just makes thing crack more.
Port Toe Rail 4 Life lines were removed & you can see the 1/2 " holes. 45* angle and get right between the outside & inside. Out of all the holes I only drilled 3 in to the ceiling of the front berth. Not bad for drilling blind & 300 holes.
Port Toe Rail 3 The glass was cracked so bad it had to be removed in some spots. The wood that we found was some kind of hard wood that did not soak up water. We think it is swamp teak??
