Halyards are in!
Poof there is nonskid.. I used interlux non-skid additive to the gelcoat.. I sprinkled it on, then painted over the wet gelcoat... it was tough to get it to pattern well, but it worked well enough for me.
Ah yes the gelcoat is cured, and sanded now. NOW it needs NONSKID!
This was actually my first eye splice, my main halyard, it has an easy wichard shackle you can remove from the eye...
Learning some new skills, this is 5/16" VPC double strand... learned how to eye splice using NERs demo video... these ronstan snap shackles are for the spin halyard and genoa halyard, they need to be spliced on... learning to do this saved me not only the cost of paying someone else to splice these, but also the cost of a shackle! Since I had good ones already!
Ugh, hate this part... outboard... boy am I glad I took it apart though... this is the old water pump impeller. one broken vane, and 3 more cracked.
AH yes legalities...
