filler, this stuff is aluminium powder. the side of the can says dont use near open flame. i tried to light it with a lighter but nothing happened. this stuff turned out to be the easiest to manipulate in a putty type form.

Taking too much off. the Mexicans of the yard soon came to our rescue and told us to take less off and showed us how to use the angle grinders. Those guys were awsome!

My new rapid/easy oil change fitting. i had some high temp hyrolic hoses with fitting built to siphon the oil from the down slopped engine....awsome pat pat on my back thank you!

ahhh the culprit. This is where all the oil comes from (usually) with the perking 4-108, at least thats what they told me i should fix to stem the oil in the bilge.

Pulling the perkins: rear main seal, all new hoses and better type hose clamps, plumb in a rapid oil change fitting (flip a switch and the hot oil gets sucked out of the bottom of the engine), new oil pan gasket, pull the heat exchnager and clean, new motor isolators, re wire harnesses, rebuild starter, referb velvet drive, install new shaft and pyi dipless packing gland......wow what a 2 month project. this is my buddy that helps gotta love thos guys

red is coming off......subsequently brought the hul down to patent gelcoat and fixed blisters where they were....(not many) sealed in epoxy then five coats of interprotect and the addition of a wash down pum with new through hulls with counter sunk silicone bronse fasteners.

2 months worth of hot sweaty work (while i lived aboard up on stands) in the heat of Walton County Florida. Atually some really good memories!
