The '22' is a great sized boat to go into the smaller coves. Raise the keel and we can get into water 4 ft deep without a worry. Step off the ladder and stand up.

Lay a shade cloth over the boom and good protection from the harsh summer rays. Nowadays we have a blue Tailor Made sun umbrella (to match the sail covers, etc.) that has 4 stays to secure to the stanchions. Cheaper than a bimini and comes down completely.

Family Cruising

We have the boat on a slip at the marina on Rathbun Lake in south central Iowa.

It's a great lake to sail on, about 11,000 acres below the bridge. Depth to 50 ft and beautiful shallow coves to anchor up in for lunch and a swim. Great sailing community with boats from 18 - 50ft and friendly people to boot.
