This is the Tiller Tamer, and is a lifesaver if you need to lash the tiller and the autopilot is on the fritz. It also keeps the tiller and rudder from swinging when trailering.
These Schaefer blocks make the sheet turning a snap. We had to remove the base that the PO put under the block- it was aluminum and it didn't get along with the stainless base when salt water was added.
The smoked Lexan cover for the cubby.
This is the cubby above the sink, with the stereo to the right. We keep a compressed-air horn and flares there. To the right, behind the board with the red button is the connection area for circuits. Power comes from the switches to here to be split up for multiple loads on the same switch. The battery gauge is to the left, above the clock.
The six-gallon gas tank is strapped down so it doesn't slide around. We deliver gas to the boat with a one-gallon dripless plastic gas can from Lowe's. The plastic bucket has the spare anchor and rode in it. Note the access lid in the floor just to the right and in front of the gas can. It's the access for the Signet Marine speed sensor sender that goes through the hull.
I love lights that don't take much power. We pulled the string of lights up with the halyards, loosely attaching the string to the stays about every 18".
At Caladesi State Park in Florida for Christmas Eve '08.
