I made a partition in the cooler using a 1/2" thick cutting board and rubber weather stripping from the hardware store. And we freeze 3 gallon jugs of water to line the bottom of the cooler. These kept beers and food cold throughout a 4 day trip on their first use. And the best thing is - no pool of water at the bottom!
you can see the close-up here how I drilled the bolt holes for the chocks oversized, then epoxied, then drilled them the correct size for the hardware. this is much stronger way to mount load-bearing hardware and there's no place for water to seep into the fiberglass. I then used bed-it tape around the holes, and a little around the head of each bolt
After enough wasted time and money on the 1991 Johnson, we broke down and re-powered. Tohatsu 6hp sail pro (extra long shaft!)
i ground them slightly oversized, and after this picture, drilled the holes oversized too. next step is an epoxy bedding
flattening the toe rail moulding
holds 2 drinks (can never hold too many drinks!) and the middle cubby is for handheld VHF, stereo remote, ect
a 3-drink holder for the front of the cockpit foot-well, and a 2-drink/handheld VHF and stereo remote holder for the back of the foot-well. The drink spots are a 3 1/2 diameter, which was the best for bottles, cans-in-coozies, and travel coffee mugs. Made of Douglas Fir
