Has anyone replaced the outhaul car on the boom with the upgraded car offered by US Spars for the ZSpar boom? The upgraded car reconfigured the ball bearings' location. It sells for about $130 and I am thinking of buying it since my car sticks and the bearing are worn and sun damaged.

It doesn't work

I tried this last summer. The new car has bearings that are just about .005 larger, and that combined with the track profile makes the whole thing jam up. Sorry for the bad news. Your best bet is to just put in replacment torlon balls.
