Has anyone done any cruising from York Harbor, or Portsmouth Harbor back into Great Bay ? My C 25 has a 10 horse univ. diesel and as you cross over via the piscataqua bridge it appears to have a bit of current . ( understatement ) and as a side , How is the sailing in the Great Bay Area, along with in and around portmouth? Thanks

Shallow

The current is strong and tricky, two bridges that open at different times, and shallow water during low tide. I've heard time estimates of 1-3hours depending on flow. In the bay the air is light most of the time making it great for fishing and waterskiing. I keep my boat in Portland, Me which has an endless supply of islands at its doorstep.
