Replacing mainsheet cleat

Hey Stu and Stephen. How did you fasten the new clutch? Self tapping screws?

The forward screw went into the backing plate, the aft one I drilled through the cabintop, bolted with fender and lock washers, nut and acorn nut.

I tapped into the existing backing plate. I was able to use one of the existing holes and had to tap for the other one. I sealed the hole (that was not used) with epoxy.
