The LED's have finally gone out on my DS10. I can say the alarm still works, so the DST25 Transducer must be good. I have looked around for another DS10, with no luck. Wanted to see what options people have used to replace the Depth Finder. This is a lake boat.
If I were to keep my current transducer, will most brands work with the frequency used in the DST25? As the boat is a 1992, I would probably go ahead and replace it.
I think the hole for the Transducer is 2 inches. Want to confirm this is correct, so when purchasing a new unit it will fit in the current hole. Hunter provided two holes in the hull, I suspect in case someone wanted to add a Speed indicator plus the Depth.
A new Display unit would need to fit in the 4 inch hole, where my current unit is now.
I have seen several options, but as this is a lake boat I do not need to get a high-end unit.
Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.
