My 1991 Catalina 30 with the same engine uses a 13x12x1"RH or a 13x10x1"RH. Personally, the 13x12 seems to give me the full 3000rpm and best speed. Good Luck.

Thanks for the reply. Is the 13x12x1 you mention a 2-bladed prop and the 13x10x1 a 3-bladed prop? My concern would be whether the prop shaft exits the boat on the same angle in the Catalina 30 and Newport 30 and whether that makes a difference to the pitch of the prop. I would think it does.
