Okay 25 Gunnel

My recently purchased Oday's gunnel (?) has sections where it has separated. It also has some areas where it is slightly pulling away from the boat. Is there an inexpensive way to fix or repair this. When I say gunnel I am describing a rubber (?) like half inch (or so) round piece that is used to protect the boat when docked. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey Doug, I think they are called rub rails. I did some googling repairing rub rails and there is a lot out their to look at. I think 3M 4200 or 5200 would work. This thread has some info.

I replaced my entire tub rail a few years ago. The black rubber bumper slides into the white rail. If the white rail is coming loose, you may need to pull the rubber and tighten the screws. Just make sure you seal all the holes well. New rails are available from DR Marine. A heat gun helps mold around corners.
