Back in March 2010, I ask the Catalina 309 Owners Forum what PHRF rating those racing the 309 had received. As of today (5/17/10) there have been 186 views and 0 replies which kinda told me that 309 sailors were not racing their 309's. I have just received my official Lake Michigan PHRF rating for my 2008 309 with wing keel and fixed 3 blade prop -- signed & sealed (raised compression stamp)
FYI: My asymmetrical spinnaker rating is 180 and my Jib & Main only rating is 195. The boat is stock as we have not purchased or installed any racing equipment whatsoever.
Just wanted to provide this information for comparison purposes to any 309 owner who is thinking of racing his/her boat
