Thoughts on using a Johnson lever in place of the turnbuckle on the fore stay on a 2007 H25. I have to motor out under a brigde and therefor required to step the mast on the water. The fore stay is tricky to connect from the pulpit and it seems to me this might be a good work around. Pros? Cons?

You'll find a variety of opinions, but I have one installed on my 240 and it works great. Easy to attach when open, tightens well when closed and very secure.

Never used them on the boats sold by my dealership as everything goes right back to the tuning for this style boat without a backstay.
