will post pics as i go. i have plenty of "before" pics now. i took all the wood off and have, GASP, painted it. i suck at painting (and hate sanding) so i'm humbled in the presence of you guys who can do all that beautiful woodwork.

Just a caution about hanging anything on the bottom side of cockpit or deck, it will sweat and condense with temp changes, so better be able to remove it to knock out the mold and mildew that will form from the dampness. And yo think you have seen mud daubers now wait until you see them inside there! best bet for me if leave most exposed so can dry out passively. Put some mothballs in a old sock and toss in back corners to drive out the mud daubers.

hmmm...so are you saying it's better to glue the liner in as opposed to having the empty space?
--and good tip on the mothballs. i was on the boat yesterday and moved the stove out and found even more of the things. bleh. it might not be so bad if their carcasses weren't still in there.
