Hull scratches

So I have some minor hull scratches from dock rub.... Can these be fixed with just a gel coat application....? They are not deep just roughed up in a line a for a foot or so....
Also I'm going to put my Suzuki 9.9 on a motor lift... What would be the best lift for this 2 stroke.

Yes.
To make it pretty, color match, and a 3 step polish compound grit will make it almost disappear.

Yes. One of the things that you need to pay attention to on these boats is trying to buff out damage like this. The gel coat on a Mac is not the thickest around, I've seen a couple where it was more like a coat of paint.
