Hello from new sailor

WORD......seriously though, Welcome aboard! I had the opportunity to visit Dubrovnik ( I think I spelled that correctly ), and visited a couple of the marina's. Very nice and the sailing looked excellent. I was surprised by the difficulty tying up stern too in one of the bays. The waves were from offshore and the one boat I observed was attempting to tie up stern to the seawall. It took the captain almost full throttle to keep from slamming the stern up against the wall. It was not something I would have attempted rather I would have anchored out until the conditions improved. I did notice the lack of a dingy but perhaps it was stowed below. The coast there is absolutely stunning. Good luck in your ventures and again welcome aboard.
