The biggest item on my "pre-flight" check list is the tongue weight. As Cowpokee said you do not want too much weight in the back. Any trailer will sway when there is not enough tongue weight. It should be between 10% and 15% of the total trailer weight. A trailer will start to get unstable whenever it drops below 10% and dangerously so if it goes below 5%. On my C25 I could not get enough weigh forward no matter what I moved or removed. I ended up building an engine mount on the winch stand on the front of the trailer. Moving the 10hp Honda from the back to the front made all the difference.
They keep pushing hand safety at work with Tee shirts and signs reading "Your hand is not a tool." I come along and write underneath: "Then why is it the only thing I use to adjust my nuts?" For some reason, those signs keep disappearing.........
