Eastern Lake Erie Weekend Destinations

Hi. We recently got a cruising sailboat in Buffalo, NY. We have a few more weeks before taking her through the Welland to our home port in Rochester, NY. Can anyone recommend a nice weekend overnight destination on the eastern part of Lake Erie? Ideally we’d like to sail up to 6 hours each way. Couldn’t find much on the charts closer than Erie, PA, which seems a little far for a weekend. Thanks!

Dunkirk is supposed to have the biggest pile of driftwood.... but harbor is supposed to be a tricky one.
We have sailed to Erie PA and stayed at Erie YC also did Port Colbourne, which was kewl with the freighters, we have also done Port Stanley Stayed at Kettle Creek Marina there than sailed across to Fairport Harbor.
