Drain valve anti fouling

last year on pull out on the west coast ( Vancouver Island)
Lots off mussels on my drain valve . ( its stainless steel.)
Does anyone paint their valve . And if so how . Thanks.

Seems pretty straightforward. Just use SS compatible paint. Following post. Waiting for more more knowledgeable sailors to chime in...

check with some yards who paint propellers as I forget the product applied to metal with a second tie coat then anti fouling paint. Petit products I think

Try PropSpeed, expensive, but nothing grows on it.
Well, that's not even remotely true. Propspeed is a foul release coating which means it has no anti fouling properties but is too slick for fouling growth to readily attach. So anything and everything will grow on it unless it is physically wiped clean or moves through the water fast enough to remove the growth.
