I used roll and tip method with a sponge brush on both products. They apply equally well. The Interlux lost some of its sheen far too quickly and also chipped. I didn't have that problem with Rustoleum or Petit paint, for that matter when I'd used that brand on another project. Best recommendation is to NOT paint in direct sunlight, and not too late in the day when evening dew can hamper your finish.
