cool cold molding.. As a kid, dad had a Yellowjacket runabout that was cold molded mahogany plywood.. really neat old boat that my brothers and I used for fishing and waterskiing.. Pretty old boat but it had no fiberglass overcoat so we ended up varnishing it every two years.. the process makes for a quick build that is very strong..

Another interesting build technique is frameless steel construction.


That coquina looking pattern is the flat panel with cuts to fold and weld into the bottom and sides of the hull. Once each panel is welded into a long bowl, the two halves are then welded together to form the hull.
