Bulkhead separating from compression post.

I have a 1988 Catalina 30 that was surveyed in December 2016. There was no problem with the bulkhead at that time. Now, there is a gap between the port bulkhead and the compression post. It starts about half way down the post and widens as it goes towards the salon floor. It is about 3/4" wide at the bottom. Any idea of the cause and the cure? There have not been and recent rigging changes that I'm aware of. The bulkhead in the picture was in December, no gap showing.

How does the compression block look? Was it tested?
Was the boat on the hard and now in the water?
Is the mast step sitting lower in the deck?

Did the PO replace the bulkheads?

No other ideas myself.

The mast compression looks good. The post appears solid.
The boat has not been on the hard since July 2015 when it had a bottom job.
The mast step is solid and there is no indention where the mast goes through the deck.
Bulkhead has not been replaced.
I think the port shroud may be too tight, pulling up on the bulkhead. I may have a rigger look at it.
Thanks for the reply.
