I have an 85 standard rig. Anyone put a small wooden bow sprit on a standard rig designed just for the anchor and roller set up?. Pictures would be great.

I had a wooden bowsprit years ago that rotted underneath & broke in half on a perfect day's sail.
I almost lost my mast but, was saved by having my 150 pocketed.
I contacted Catalina in Largo Florida & they sent me a cored fiberglas bowsprit.
The hull bow point end side curvature differed slightly but with some adjustments, went together fine.
As with any bowsprit, remember to beef up your anchor locker interior thru-bolting areas.
Ask for Len (727.544.6681.
For a bobstay with or without an anchor roller, look up Nutronic 50 solid cable & remember to also beef up the lower attachment area.
I also changed out my wood spreaders. JSI made me beautiful aluminum ones that look like airplane wings.
