'82 27' catalina mast height

We are considering buying a 1982 27' Catalina. We need to know the height of the mast off the water. We have large power lines that run along the lake behind our house. The power company guesstamated the lowest point at 39'. We live in kind of an inlet portion of the lake and the wires are higher at both sides of the area. This is why we need to know the exact height of the mast We'd appreciate a reply ASAP as we are going to look at the boat at noon and the owner doesn't know the specs. HELP!

C27 mast height

The "I" measurement for a C27 standard rig is 34.5 ft. This is from the top of the mast (actually where halyard meets masthead) to the deck. You could measure the hull from waterline to deck, but I would guess around 4 ft. would be close. If you have any antenna or windex up there, that would be have to considered too. So roughly 39 ft. plus.By the way the other specs are: J (straight line from base of headstay to base of mast)is 11.25; P (luff of the mainsail, where black lines are supposed to be)is 28.67; and E (foot of the mainsail) is 10.5
