Jodi and I are heading down. She's getting some R&R, I'm doing tactics on the FarEast28r. Anyone else going to be at Canyon Lake??
Indeed! ;-)melted 24? lol
We're there OD Spinnaker classes, or were there really just 3 boats that wanted to fly Spinnaker's? Around here our PHRF Spin classes have wanted to increase their numbers but have had limited success. I guess it's not just around here.50 boats in the regatta, but only 3in PHRF spin! What is that??
It was weird for sure. There were 15 J/24s, and 14 J/22 flying spins. Bunch of multi-hulls with gennakers. Then a big Cat22 without kites, and a ton of PHRF non-spin. But only 3 PHRF spin. We're there OD Spinnaker classes, or were there really just 3 boats that wanted to fly Spinnaker's? Yea it was chilly. 45f to start, ending maybe 50f. Light rain on and off both days. With 3-4 races a day, it was long days on the water so I actually wore long sailing pants. That's rare for me if its not snowing! From the Melges. Holding the boom out and looking back to see where the next puff is coming from.Congratulations on the win, too bad the weather wasn't better there over the weekend, probably wasn't much warmer than home. Gale warnings tonight and freeze warnings for Wednesday morning in SE Texas. Back in the 70's by next weekend.
