Of course I didn't take pics or even write anything down about what manufacturer gauges I have. It's a 1996 Tartan 3800. The fuel and water level gauges match, are black case and black dial with white markings, a square bezel that turns 1/4" turn to remove, and a convex, plastic lens.
The water level is reading nearly full, and we found out it isn't working when we ran out of water! If it's an American standard gauge, if the sender and gauge are O.K., it would be a short, pink to black wire, no? Or, I could have a bad sender, which is shorted, or a bad gauge.
Any thoughts on this? Anyone have a gauge that looks like what I've described, and can help identify it?
