Granted, Old, Old Technology, a nicety but not necessity... if I can’t see the other side of the river, I wouldn’t go out...
I have Owner’s Handbook, dated 1999. I would like to do away with alarm beeps, on my toggle keys I can turn off the alarms, but unit keeps beeping. I have not found a sound volume toggle (idea is to turn off sound). Shut off the power at the fuse switches, if I push the on/off button, it will beep until it shuts down. The only real thing from inside cabin during nasty winds (and at the dock) I want is to know our wind speed at top of the mast with out dam unit beeping!
Ah, to hell with the dam unit. General weather radar on iPhone so much faster and works for what I really need.
Conclusion: curiosity can lead to frustration! You tube for a change has not been helpful.
