Jealous of everyone getting their early starts this year-- finally got a schedule window, and it was well past time to test the trailer mods, new Yeti cooler, boom tent and find a thousand more things to add to the list.

Success.... and we found a bit of wind for a welcome change.

and yes-- dragging the poor Honda is on the list :)

Looks like a fantastic day! We sneaked in an overnight sail this weekend, but normally we get no wind in this hell we call summer. PNW is so beautiful this time of year ...

Congrats ! looks like an awesome day !

A beautiful commander, a nice day, and a boat that works. Sounds awesome to me.

Reminds me that I still need to buy a sports cam. (my phone takes horrible video) :)

my pleasure... one of these days when I'm not in "fixing mode" it would be fun to do some sailing vid that's a bit more instructional or informative on various topics

Is that Tri-Cities or lower. I sailed my C22 out of Clover Island for a couple years before moving to Ice Harbor

Tri-Cities-- I launch at Columbia Point (Richland)-- that view is just North of the I-82 bridge connecting Richland to Pasco. Clover Island is actually closer to us, we tend to switch it up depending on whether we're day sailing or overnighting.

The I-82 bridge wasn’t there when I was sailing the Columbia. I really liked the looong starboard tacks up the river, but the short negative vmg Port tacks were frustrating on calm days. Ice Harbor on the Snake is much better sailing and warmer water.

Right?! Rather humorous tacking across the river realizing you are actually sailing backwards.

Thought my trial navionics app was sucking until I reminded myself their speed log is SOG and doesn’t take the 4 knot current into account. For a moment I thought my boat was a slug ;)

It's a great feeling when it all comes together and that keel cable starts singing! I have to remind myself of that all year long as I slog through weeks of 12 hour shifts trying to get to that one long weekend and weather gamble when I can get me and the boat out. So keep the videos coming!
