There seems to be a leak near the stern of my Catalina 250 which, with heavy rains, rally soaks the sleeping area. I can't see any visible openings. Any ideas ? Thanks

You have a trailer? This can be done dock-side too, but easier at home. The way to test is to get inside and watch while someone uses a pressure washer on deck to wash down, simulating heavy rain. There are numerous possible sources; deck hardware, cockpit locker seals, windows, etc.

There are several possible culprits. The very first thing I would check is inside the coaming boxes. The seams inside are notorious for leaking. You can seal them easily with the caulk of your choice. If that doesn't stop the water then it's on to more detailed checks as mentioned above.
