Left to it's own devices, thethrottle on my 340 slips fairly rapidlyto lower RPM. To remedy this, my dealerinstalled a "cable pincher" near theengine block. This creates frictionin the cable. The problem is thatwhen there is enough friction tokeep the engine at 2800 RPM, thereis too much friction to allow thecable to release the throttle below1500 RPM.Given the choice, the right place to add frictionis not on the cable, but ratherat the controller on the pedestal, yet I see no way to do this.Any suggestions?Larry Jackel
