I hit my local hamfest today and was taken by surprise. A dealer that specializes in antenna hardware had Harken blocks for sale. Maybe this isn't new, but it was to me. It also seemed like overkill. I have used cheap pulleys for years. I think it would be crying time if a $50 block was stuck way up in a tree. The dealer caught me checking prices online. I had to chuckle; West was cheaper.

Sounds like the guy knows a lot of hams are also boaters. Might as well kill two birds with one stone. And, people will pay for the convenience of getting something for the boat while at a hamfest. LOL

My boat will need a couple of blocks soon. I thought that just maybe these would be cheaper than those sold for "boats". I was wrong!
