I have two of these and one stoped working electrically. Manually is OK. I bypassed the relay/contactor with jumper cables and nothing happened. I did the same with the good winch and it started ok. The motor is by Bonfiglioli 12V. I'm thinking it may be the carbon brushes, but would they both go at the same time since is a two speed motor? Can I get to the brushes without separating the motor from the winch? Do I have to remove the gear box also? It is mounted horizontally in the lazarette but hard to get to. Any advise will be appreciated.
