We've been out of boating over 4 years and miss living aboard. We are considering an Endeavour 43 center cockpit ketch. Always had sloops before how well do these handle?

Welcome to the forum. Ketch rigs handle quite well but the rigging is more to fuss with. Journeys on rivers means two masts to get under bridges.
