I am in the process of rebuilding my steel plate swing keel. I am thinking of welding in stainless threaded tabs and inserting Stainless studs to mount zincs. The boat will be trailer launched in salt water. Also My boat has a heavey gauge copper wire attache to the mast tabernacle and runs down the compression post to the keel pivot bolt. What is the best way to make contact with the bolt or should run a copper rod through the keel trunk?

That sounds like some sort of lightening protection not an electrical ground. The only Zinc I have is on my outboard. I had thought about putting one on the keel.

I don't have that grounding line on my 25. I take my chances with lightening. Been anchored in some pretty knarly back to back boomers. Haven't gotten hit yet. That would just be another story to add to the list generated after buying the Tsatz. Hahaha.

I often think the better the ground the better chance of actually getting hit.

I am interested on how effective zinc anodes would be too. Keep us posted.
