Put your ballast on the pill....

Simply drop a couple of tablets of swimming pool chlorine or bromine in the ballast tank. Sail for a three or four hours or leave overnight. That will kill all life in the ballst water and won't harm the fiberglass, or the lake life when emptied as the converted gas dissipates in the air, just as it does in a spa or swimming pool. I've used this method in my X for 10 years.

lake management tighter control

Hmm.. somehow a lot of my message was dropped twice (sent from China) Lake Powell will ask you where you have been with your boat and if you have had some sort of inspection. So what I was wondering is in area's which have the mussel in one lake, do the other area lakes tighten up controls and attempt to keep the spread controlled. Or do they do anything at all? I didnt even know about the Zebra mussel until I was planning a trip to lake Powell.
