White Christmas in Florida

White sandy beaches, that is!

We finally broke our two-year bad luck streak, and got a 200+ mile, nine day cruise ... right before the Christmas Eve norther rolled in. We were still a little chilly at night, and the water was a little too cold for swimming ... but the days were mild, the winds were fair, and we never once felt a raindrop.

Sorry for the shortage of pics. I'm working on a video, but I admit I was so caught up in the moment that photography kinda got neglected. ;)

I read a Florida newsfeed recently that said to watch for falling iguanas as temps dropped. Warm blooded reptiles shut down when they get cold

I've never seen iguanas on Florida's west coast (where we sail), for whatever reason. We did see several crocodiles on this trip, which was a first! I knew they existed in the south Everglades, but had never seen one.
