Recently chased that leak down
My 1980 hunter 30 developed a leak that I eventually chased down. The Aluminum plate that sits between the deck and the mast apparently was the culprit. You need to maintain a good bead of caulk around this. Idealy if you could remove the mast at the next opportunity to inspect the entire area. and reseal it properly. I have heard that the deck sandwich at this point is wood and will rot if it continues to leak. Best of luck. E-mail me if you find anything interesting. noles4you@aol.com
