Recently started having water accumulate under the removable galley sole on our 1996 Oc 351. The water is coming from behind the cabinet area that houses the aft water tank, but there is no water in that tank. The refrigerator is in the same area, but the refrigerator drain is in good condition and don't see any cracks in the refrig. housing. Am trying to avoid dismantling the cabinets, if possible.
There seems to be more water after a rain. The only openings to the outside in that area are the bolt holes for the port winch and for the rope clutches on the cabin roof. Have not re-caulked the bolt holes yet, but rebuilt the winch and clutches about a year ago and the bolts were re-caulked then. The bimini does a good job of keeping water out of this area, but that is about my last try, unless someone has another idea. Help!!

A water pH test using a swimming pool test kit might help show where the water is coming from. Rain water should be essentially neutral.

As for the water system, you might want to consider the pressurized water lines. We had a leak in the pressurized system than was difficult to find even after isolating the problem to tankage water. Now when we leave the boat we try to remember to depressurize the system.

Fill up rear water tank and look on top of water tank by opening the side cabinet, lift the lower lid. My tank leak ther if fielld to the top. I dont know to get access to reseal. You can look on top of the rear water tank with a flushlight from under sink cabinet. Ther is a smal opening.
