Water leaked from where the starboard mast stays meet the top of the boat. The entire bulkhead has rotted. Does anyone have info or a set of plans for how to replace that bulkhead wall. It appears to be made of horizontal slats of some type of 1/2" hard wood, covered by a veneer, and bonded to the side of the boat with some sort of epoxy paint. The bulkhead header seems to still be dry and strong. Can a bulkhead wall be cut and spiced and still keep its structural integrity? Any help will help...Thanks. Gary

Template..

Remove the old bulkhead and use it as a template for the new one..if parts are missing..cut it oversize and then put it in place aboard the boat and "fit" it as required. It's not as hard as it sounds..just be patient and pay attention to the small stuff..sit it as tightly as possible and,if it was glassed in before, reglass it in.Also,USE MARINE GRADE PLYWOOD..and varnish it or coat with poleurathane BEFORE you install it as it's more easily done out of the boat than in. Good Luck>>> David
