Hi I have a raw water cooled volvo MD17C. I would like to find all the parts to switch to fresh water cooling. Used and reasonable as this is and old engine. Ed

why convert

Why do you want to convert especially an old engine. More parts more things to go wrong especially an old engine.

Outboards are raw water cooled including salt water.

Volvo has a salt water flushing kit that neutralize the salt.

There is a thread on an MD17 rebuild by Mark Malden (that is his username). You may want to ask him since he's been working on it for a while. He seems to have done a lot of valuable research. SC
