You put the vented loop in the wrong place
If you'd read the installation instructions for your toilet--for ANY toilet, you'd have seen that the vented loop in the intake has to go between the pump and the bowl, not between the thru-hull and the pump as shown in this photo...'cuz when a vented loop is installed between the thru-hull and pump, flushing pulls air into the line preventing the pump from priming. So what you're hearing is not air escaping from the loop, but air being pulled into it to prevent a siphon from starting. Also notice that it has be at least 6-8" above waterline AT ANY ANGLE OF HEEL, not just at rest...which, on most sailboats puts it at least 2-3 FEET above the toilet. You'll also find a lot of discussion about where to put it in this forum.
And, if you can put your finger over the hole in the loop, the loop is also missing its air valve. The air valve only allows air to be pulled INTO a line, Air valves are replaceable parts that require removal for cleaning and occasional replacement, so they're often sold separately.
So if you move the loop to the right location and put an air valve in it (without one, water will squirt out the hole, so you do need it), your problem will be solved.
However, as long as you do have to move it, this could be a good time reroute the intake line to tee it into the head sink drain line. See the discussions in this forum on the advantages to doing that.
