V32 exterior rub-rail sealant?

I've just run across some notes I made while looking at a V32 a couple of weeks ago. At the time, I noted that there seemed to be some kind of exterior sealant applied on the top side of the rubrail, in the corner, maybe between the rail & the hull. It appeared as a slight darkening of the white material of the rail, like a thin layer of clear silicone seal had been applied to seal that joint area. It had been there a while, as evidenced by the darkening (silicone seal seems to "attract" dirt in such applications) and because it was partialy abraded or scraped off near the stern of the boat. It's a small point, but I am curious if anyone has seen or noticed anything similar on the V32 or other Hunter boats?

I Think You Are Correct

.. that it is a sealant of some type that discolors with age. Had that on my V32 and the L40.5 I now have. No big deal. Might try some white shoe polish on it. Rick D.
