I like to carry 2 outboards. 2 HP and 8 hp. Because of my stern rail seats I was running out of rail. There was no room to store and no rail room for a motor winch. So I fabricated a hinged affair out of starboard. And had a metal shop fabricate the swim ladder hinges out of thicker material and each side 8 inches long so each hinge would have 6 bolts going thru to a large backing board on the inside of the hull. This distributed the Heavy outboard Motor weight to a larger area. Then to deploy the motor I winched the Swim Ladder /motor until the motor was at the right height for the dinghy in the water. Jumped into the dinghy and brought it to the motor and removed it off the swim ladder and onto the Transome of the dinghy.

More pictures of your stern project?

Do you have more detailed photos of your project? Looks like you've got quite a nice arrangement.
