Woud you trailerable fellows like to get together this summer for a rendevouz at Kerr Lake which is on the Carolina/Virginia border which would be a hoot. Maybe Phil Herring would come. This would be an extreme undertaking for me to put this on but it would be fun. Give me your thoughts fellows. Will havee larger ones too. Crazy Dave OK TO SUBMIT Phil?

East Coast, East Coast, East Coast, ....

How about us poor folks in the midwest and west coast. We could use a "rendevouz" that doesn't involve thousands of miles of trailering. The midwest would be the most fair (I think) :) Greg 23 Faster-

East Coast, Mid West ........Central Gulf Coast?

Why not in the Gulf somewhere? We have more water andalot more places to launch the boats and even more places to moore or slip them. We are kinda in the middle, just a little south. I'm ready wherever within a days drive it would give me a reason to put the new bearings I bought about a year ago on the trailer.

Have Boat, Need Trailer

Hi Crazy Dave, Have seen lots of input from you about these great little boats. Think your idea is terrific. Dick Vance, who also contributes to this site, and sails on Cherokee Lake in East Tennessee had been trying to organize a Hunter only regatta to be hosted by the Cherokee Lake Sailing Club. Any and all sounds like a lot of fun. I only have one problem. Have 1988 H23, Wing Keel version, but have no trailer. Would like to purchase a trailer for this boat and perhaps someone out there in SE Florida area has or knows were one could pick up a decent used or new (Price?) trailer for this boat. Have trailer will travel. Thanks and keep up your informative comments on this site, we enjoy having you share your expirence.

Sure Dave, it sounds like a good opportunity to exchange ideas. You have my address(as well as my boat) so let me know the details.

I'm in

Dave I would be interested. It would be great to get together with a bunch of similar boats and compare some notes. Maybe work in a day of racing. If this gets of the ground or into the water give me an email so I can get my leave slip in

yes, but. . . .

Dave, Your idea is great, especially here on the west coast where hunters don't seem as common. But . . . ,I think the couple of thousand miles round trip might be a hinderance to attending. If it happens I hope you'll post a big article about it. Skol. Jim Kolstoe, h23 Kara's Boo

Count us in!

Dave Rendevouz sounds great! Other than through this website we've never gotten to meet other 240 owners so we'd love to come! Bill Welsch S/V Renewal

When?

I'm planning on being in the VA/NC area this summer for a few other things- High school reunion, friend getting married, general vacation time... all of it during the month of July. Do you have any planning dates yet? I'd love to come and meet other Hunter trailer sailors face to face! Maybe I can even bring my 23 up from the FL Keys for my vacation... --Jon Bastien
