My Gannet is sitting on an old bunk trailer ( 2 runners). Since the bottom of the boat does not have stringers, the hull is fairly flexible. There is a flat spot on the bottom of the boat where it sits on top of the bunk. Before I fix up the boat, I want to improve the trailer support. What is the best to improve the support?

The boat should be supported at the "V" or "center" of the hull, the side bunks should be for keeping the boat from tipping and to take some off the support but not as much as the keel area. Here is a shot of my DS1 on the trailer. Either a board or some rollers will support the bottom of the boat. There are three roller spreading out the pressure along with the side bunks with just slight pressure. Hope this helps.

About the flexing hull: I just finished restoring an old 1969 Javelin which had some flexing in the cockpit. I used a few layers of fiberglass to stiffen the hull, worked great. A shot of the cockpit, glassed and a new transom, painted. I glassed along each side of the centerboard.
